2025 Spring Tree/Shrub Giveaway

Previously, we gave away trees at the Fredericksburg Earth Day Festival but in 2025 we will give away the trees on Saturday, April 5^th, at Old Mill Park at a stand-alone event.  The address is 2201 Caroline Street, Fredericksburg 22401, from 8:00 am – 11:00 am.  We will have 3,000 free native tree and shrub seedlings (2-4 ft tall) that will be in pots. Reservations will be required.  Each family may reserve a maximum of five trees or shrubs.  We will begin taking reservations on our website, www.TreeFredericksburg.org, for the free trees/shrubs in late February/Early March.  The announcement for the event will be first sent to our email list.  Be sure to sign up on our website for the announcements.  The event is open to all residents of Virginia.  Tree and shrub species will be announced in early winter.  Tree Stewards will be on hand to teach proper tree planting and answer questions from the public.  All plants must be picked up in person by you or your designee.  Any plants not picked up by 11:00 am will be forfeited.
