FALL 2017 TREE PLANTING DATES
To volunteer, email Tree Fred Volunteer Coordinator Steve Watkins at email@example.com. We’ll be planting rain or shine, unless there’s thunder and lightning. Be sure to wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes. We’ll provide all the tools and safety equipment necessary. All planting teams will be led by experienced volunteers and Tree Fredericksburg Tree Stewards. Be sure to show up 15 minutes early for instructions and planting demonstration. Kids and groups are welcome.
Fall Planting Schedule below. All plantings start at 9 AM and last about two hours. All tools and equipment provided. Holes are predrilled so digging is easy. Children are always very welcome to come plant with us as well.

Email Tree Fredericksburg Volunteer Coordinator Steve Watkins at firstname.lastname@example.org if you or your group or business would like to volunteer.
The Tuesday before each planting, several volunteers will be working with Tree Fredericksburg staff to prepare the trees—washing root balls—at the little park on Powhatan Street, across from Hugh Mercer Elementary. Let us know if you’d like to volunteer to help with that as well.
What to expect:
The holes are pre-dug so the work is not too difficult. We plant rain or shine unless it is a thunder storm.
What to bring:
We supply all the tools and equipment. Bring work gloves if you have them, otherwise we supply them. Please wear closed toed shoes.
If you bring children, be prepared to work one on one with them for their safety. We are planting along the streets and safety is our main concern.
Reply to email@example.com if you are able to volunteer. We will send out a reminder and further instructions closer to the date of the plantings in Fall 2017. We hope to see you all come and plant with us.
